Don Papa Rare Cask is a limited-edition rum from the renowned Philippine distillery. This truly rare spirit is aged for several years in smoked American oak barrels and then for an additional period in heavily charred oak barrels, giving the rum an exceptionally complex array of aromas and flavors. Unlike other versions, this limited edition is not blended with other batches nor is it filtered; instead, it is bottled at full strength at 50.51% ABV. It is a decidedly rich and powerful rum on the nose, with a complex and varied aromatic profile; smooth and fruity on the palate, with flavors of oak, cocoa, red fruit, and fresh mint. The finish is characterized by a distinctly long-lasting, smooth, fruity, and fresh aftertaste.Each bottle, packaged in a wooden case, is numbered and hand-signed by the master distiller. With each release, 6,000 bottles are produced worldwide, with only 480 allocated to the Italian market.
