The first wine produced in Argentiera, in 2002, comes from the area known as Poggio ai Ginepri, which has become one of the most recognized brands in the Bolgheri region. A perpetual movement of extreme pleasantness and lightness that accelerates sip after sip.
After the pressing and a soft pressing, all the varieties were vinified separately; the fermentation and maceration took place in steel tanks for about 15-20 days at a controlled temperature not exceeding 28°C. Half of the wine was then transferred to French oak barrels of 225 l capacity, where it completed the malolactic fermentation.
50% in French oak barrels of 225 l used and 50% stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, the final assembly was carried out, after which bottling was carried out.
Upon first sight, it presents with a vivid ruby red color. On the nose, it is a triumph of aromas, with notes of ripe red fruit such as cherries and plums, enriched by nuances of sweet spices and a delicate touch of vanilla, resulting from aging in wood. In the mouth, the wine is robust, with well-structured tannins and a perfect balance between acidity and alcohol. The finish is long and persistent.
James Suckling 91/100, Falstaff 92/100, Jancis Robinson 16.5/20
