It is rare for the origins of a wine to be attributed to a single man. Brunello di Montalcino, however, owes its existence to the ingenuity of Clemente Santi and his grandson Ferruccio Biondi Santi, who in the 1900s began to vinify Sangiovese Grosso in Montalcino in its purest form. Since 1888, the first vintage of Brunello in history, Biondi-Santi has continued to produce wines renowned for their elegance and extraordinary longevity. No compromise. A meticulous attention to detail and exceptional craftsmanship accompany Brunello Biondi Santi, which is produced using hand-picked grapes from the vineyards owned by the company. In the cellar, it is fermented in concrete vats using indigenous yeasts and aged in large Slavonian oak barrels, as is tradition.

36 months in Slavonia oak barrels
A brilliant and clear ruby red color, of medium density, that shows light and noble garnet reflections on the nail. Fragrant notes of crispy cherry, small red fruits, raspberry and floral nuances of purple and faded rose petals. On the palate it immediately strikes for its exceptional tension and symmetry. Despite the hot millenary, the mouth maintains a slender, vertical and deeply refreshing profile.
