This wine is produced with Sangiovese grapes, highlighting the balanced and harmonious traits of its habitat. The wine shows medium body, sweet and noble tannins, and a distinct tasting profile. Excellent to drink immediately, it reveals impressive aging potential.
20-25 days of maceration at controlled temperature. The alcoholic fermentation is carried out by selected yeasts from our pied de cuve. Pied de cuve is the first batch of grapes that is harvested early to select the naturally present yeasts on the skins. These become the base yeast for the fermentation of the grapes, which will be harvested later. This process allows for the enhancement of the bond between the wine and its vineyard, thus sealing its sense of place.
18 months in oak barrels and barriques
A vivid medium-intensity color with purple-pink reflections. On the nose it opens with aromas of small red fruits and pomegranate juice, accompanied by the unmistakable violet note that characterizes the good Sangiovese. In the background, vanilla and boisée notes, brought about by a never invasive wood aging process, enrich the aromatic profile. On the palate the entry is brisk and balanced. The sip is tasty and crunchy, with sweet notes of ripe cherry, prunes jam and licorice nuances. The body, dynamic and elegant, is supported by well-defined tannins and a enveloping texture. The fresh acidity accompanies the persistence of the finish, leaving a pleasant desire to return to the glass.
